The legal dossier.
The terms, your data, and the money, in one place, in plain language.
This website and the PARSEC service are published by {{ENTITY_NAME}}, a company registered under number {{ENTITY_REG_CODE}}, with its registered office at {{ENTITY_ADDRESS}} (the "Company", "we", "us"). The Company is established in the European Union.
Contact
For any legal, privacy, or billing question, write to [email protected]. The director of publication is the legal representative of {{ENTITY_NAME}}.
Hosting and payment
The service is hosted on infrastructure operated by or on behalf of the Company within the European Union; provider details are available on request. Payments are processed by Paddle, acting as merchant of record.
Descriptive research only
PARSEC provides descriptive investment research: measured facts with their frame, historical analogs with sample sizes, and multi-perspective analysis. It is informational. We do not provide investment advice or personal recommendations, we do not issue price targets or verdicts, and we do not execute orders. We are not your broker, dealer, investment adviser, or portfolio manager. Any decision you make is your own.
Alpha and beta
The service runs during an alpha and beta period and is provided as is. A reading can carry a bug or an incoherence, and features may change. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted availability. Report a defect to [email protected]; a genuine, previously unlogged bug earns a month of the full desk.
Pricing and grandfathering
Published prices apply at the time of subscription. Prices offered during alpha are guaranteed for the life of the subscription: your price does not rise for as long as the subscription stays continuously active. If it lapses, the then-current published price applies on return. One-off purchase credits are applied as described on the Pricing page.
Quotas
Individual plans are a hard quota with no metered overage; you may add thesis reports at the subscriber unit price. On Desks, thesis reports are pooled across the tenant rather than fixed per seat, so a quiet seat lends its share to a busy one. There is no surprise bill.
Acceptable use
- No scraping, bulk extraction, or automated harvesting of content outside the documented API.
- No resale or redistribution of content except as your subscription expressly permits.
- Respect published rate limits; do not attempt to disrupt or overload the service.
- No reverse engineering of the models or the infrastructure.
- One account per person or entity; a broker link is per person and is not lent or shared.
Accounts, API and MCP
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential. Read API and MCP access are available to B2B tenants under these Terms. We may suspend or terminate access for breach. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Liability and governing law
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for any investment loss or for indirect or consequential damages, and its aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid in the twelve months preceding a claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. These Terms are governed by the law of the registered office of {{ENTITY_NAME}} within the European Union, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
Data controller
The data controller is {{ENTITY_NAME}}, registered under number {{ENTITY_REG_CODE}}, registered office {{ENTITY_ADDRESS}}. Privacy contact: [email protected]. This policy is written to the GDPR.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and authentication data.
- Identity: collected at activation, where required for a regulated B2B tenant.
- Positions: your broker market and holdings data over a read-only link, or a book you compose by hand.
- Usage: your notes, trade journal, reading position, and product interactions.
- Billing: handled by our payment provider; we do not store your card details.
Purposes and legal basis
We process data to provide the research service and your personal workspace, to operate accounts, authentication and billing, to secure the service and prevent abuse, and to meet our legal obligations. The bases are performance of our contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interest in securing the service, and, where required, your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
Pseudonymisation and erasure
Identity and usage are held in separate databases, linked only by an identifier. On account closure the identity record is permanently erased and the link becomes irrecoverable, so residual usage data can no longer be attributed to you. You may request erasure at any time.
Sub-processors and local inference
We use a limited set of sub-processors, including Paddle as our merchant of record for payments. Inference on your data runs on our own local models: your data is not sent to any third-party large language model. A current list of sub-processors is available on request. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
Your rights and retention
Under the GDPR you may access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent, and you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise a right, contact [email protected]. We keep personal data while your account is active and for the period afterward required by legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations, after which it is deleted or irreversibly anonymised. Personal data is processed within the European Union.
Checkout
Payments are processed by Paddle, acting as merchant of record. Paddle handles billing, applicable taxes, and refunds subject to its terms and to applicable law. We do not store your card details.
The 30-day credit
100% of the one-off memos and thesis reports you buy in any rolling 30-day window are deducted from your first month once you subscribe. Trying Parsec a la carte never costs extra on top of the subscription.
Cancellation
You may cancel at any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the current paid period, and it is not renewed after that. No metered overage accrues.
Refunds
Where EU consumer law applies, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal on a new subscription, save where you asked us to begin during that period and the service was fully performed. One-off memos and thesis reports are digital items, delivered and consumed on purchase, and a consumed one-off is not refundable on a pro-rata basis. The exact refund terms are confirmed once the operating entity is registered: {{REFUND_POLICY}}.
Alpha prices and grandfathering
List prices are not final: they move as alpha and beta teach us real usage. The price you subscribe at during alpha does not move for as long as the subscription stays continuously active. The Pricing page carries the current published prices.
